Largest Book Fair in Texas for Indie Authors Coming to Katy in October
The Author Indie Book Fair is set to return for its second year, scheduled for Saturday, October 12, from 10 am to 6 pm. The event, which is being hosted by The British International School, will take place in one of the school's gymnasiums, located at 2203 North Westgreen Blvd.
As the largest book fair in Texas exclusively for Indie authors, the Author Indie Book Fair is a unique showcase of nearly 120 Texas-based independent or self-publishing authors, poets, indie presses and comic creators. Featuring a diverse range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children's literature, young adult, self-help, zines, chapbooks, comics, graphic novels, and more, the event promises to cater to readers of all ages and interests.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet these talented authors, get their books signed, and even purchase copies. The fair is not just for book lovers but is also an open call for Texas-based independent and self-published authors, indie publishers, writing organizations, bookstores, and other book-related creators seeking exposure for their work.
Entry to the event is completely free and registration is not required, making it a family-friendly affair for bookworms and casual readers alike. Apart from promoting independent creative writing, the fair also doubles as a platform for organizations that support the craft. A baked snack and coffee vendor will be on hand at the event.
Any author interested in securing a booth at the fair will require their own table, chairs, and booth materials, with a setup fee of $60 due upon acceptance. Interested parties can apply here. To get a glimpse of the guest authors attending the Author Indie Book Fair, visit this webpage.
