Lakes on Eldridge Residents Invited to Help Bring a New Swan Back to the Community
After the recent loss of Toni, one of the longtime swans that had become part of daily life in Lakes on Eldridge, neighbors now have an official way to contribute toward bringing a new swan to the community.
Residents who would like to participate can make a $250 donation through the homeowners portal by selecting “Access Devices and Misc Items.” Donations can also be made in person at the office by check or money order.
For many people in Lakes on Eldridge, the swans have always been more than just part of the scenery. They are part of what makes the neighborhood feel peaceful, welcoming, and unique. Families stop to watch them during evening walks, kids look for them near the water, and longtime residents have grown attached to their presence over the years.
That’s why the loss of Toni hit home for so many across the community.
What has followed has been a reminder of the kind of neighborhood Lakes on Eldridge continues to be — one where residents genuinely care about preserving the small things that make this community special.
The donation effort is not just about replacing a swan. It’s about keeping alive a tradition that has quietly become part of the identity of Lakes on Eldridge and part of the memories many residents share.
Neighbors interested in contributing can log into the homeowners portal or stop by the office for more information.
