Lakes on Eldridge Halloween Fall Festival Invites Neighbors and Local Businesses to Join the Fun
For families in Lakes on Eldridge, Halloween weekend will bring an opportunity to celebrate close to home while helping create a festive afternoon for some of the neighborhood’s youngest residents.
The Lakes on Eldridge Social Committee is preparing for the community’s Halloween Fall Festival on Saturday, October 24, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the LOE Clubhouse, and residents, neighborhood organizations and local business owners are being invited to help make the event happen.
Tables will be set up outside the front of the clubhouse, creating a neighborhood trick-or-treat experience where children can move from table to table collecting candy, small toys and other treats while families spend time with neighbors.
Lakes on Eldridge Residents Can Help Bring the Festival Together
Rather than being an event residents simply attend, the Halloween Fall Festival is being planned as a community effort.
Residents and local businesses can host a table and hand out candy, toys or trinkets to children during the festival. Small businesses may also set up tables, giving owners an opportunity to introduce themselves to Lakes on Eldridge families while participating in the celebration.
For neighbors who want to contribute but cannot attend, the Social Committee is accepting donations of candy, treats, small toys, prizes and other festival goodies.
Residents and businesses can also sponsor an activity or make a monetary contribution to help the committee add additional entertainment and activities to the afternoon.
That flexibility gives families several ways to participate, whether they have an entire afternoon to volunteer or simply want to send along a bag of candy or a small donation.
A Halloween Celebration Built Around the Neighborhood
Community events like the Lakes on Eldridge Halloween Fall Festival offer something increasingly valuable: a reason for neighbors who may normally only wave from a driveway or pass one another on the street to spend a little time together.
For children, the afternoon offers another chance to dress up, trick-or-treat and enjoy Halloween before the holiday arrives. For parents, it provides a familiar neighborhood setting where families can gather and meet others who live nearby.
The festival also creates space for Lakes on Eldridge committees, organizations and local businesses to become part of the event rather than simply watching from the sidelines.
For small business owners who serve the Lakes on Eldridge area, hosting a table can be an especially approachable way to meet residents face-to-face while helping provide something enjoyable for neighborhood children.
How to Participate in the LOE Halloween Fall Festival
Anyone interested in hosting a trick-or-treat table, donating candy or prizes, sponsoring an activity or participating as a local business should contact the Lakes on Eldridge management team to sign up.
The Social Committee emphasized that contributions of any size are welcome, meaning participation does not have to involve a large donation or elaborate setup.
With the festival still several weeks away, the committee is looking to residents and nearby businesses to help fill the space outside the clubhouse with enough tables, treats and activities to create an afternoon families will remember.
For Lakes on Eldridge residents looking for Halloween activities close to home this fall, the October 24 festival offers an easy way to celebrate while also strengthening the connections that make neighborhood events possible in the first place.
