Lakes of Bella Terra Swim Season Begins: Pool Access, Waivers, and Water Aerobics Details for 2025

Lakes of Bella Terra Swim Season Begins: Pool Access, Waivers, and Water Aerobics Details for 2025

April 23 2025

The weather’s warming up, and that means swim season in Lakes of Bella Terra (LOBT) is officially back. With the main pool now open and a fresh schedule of activities for the community, residents have plenty of reasons to break out their swimsuits and make the most of the season ahead.

However, there are some important updates for 2025 Lakes of Bella Terra pool access and safety protocols that all residents need to be aware of before heading to the pool.

Main Pool Now Designated as SAYOR (Swim At Your Own Risk)

This year, the LOBT main pool will operate as a SAYOR pool, meaning lifeguards will not be on duty. In accordance with this change, only residents 18 and older, or those accompanied by an adult, will be permitted to enter and swim.

To ensure community safety and compliance with the new policy, residents must sign a waiver before their pool fob will be reactivated. Waivers can be filled out in person at the Management Office, and are also available online for download via the community’s website.

How to Reactivate Your Pool Access FOB

If you haven’t already, now is the time to visit the Management Office and submit your signed SAYOR waiver. Without a signed waiver, your fob will not grant access to the main pool. Once processed, your fob will be reprogrammed, and you’ll be ready to swim.

This policy is designed to ensure that all residents acknowledge and accept the swim-at-your-own-risk terms, which are part of updated safety measures.

Water Aerobics Classes Return for 2025

Back by popular demand, community water aerobics is returning to the LOBT main pool, offering a great way for residents to stay active and connect with neighbors. The classes are free and open to adults, with two options available:

Ladies Only Morning Class
  • May 1 – May 26: 7:00–7:50 AM (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
  • May 27 – June 26: 6:00–6:50 AM (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
  • June 27 – October 31: 7:00–7:50 AM (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Co-Ed Evening Class
  • May 1 – October 31: 8:00–8:50 PM (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

No prior experience is required, but foam dumbbells are necessary, and water shoes are recommended for added stability. The class is a fun, low-impact way to stay fit while cooling off in the summer heat.

Note: Morning class times may vary depending on swim team use of the pool.

Community Reminders

  • Pool calendars are posted in glass cabinets at the pools and available for download on the community website.
  • The LOBT pool is a shared amenity. Please be mindful of others and respect posted rules and times, especially during swim team or scheduled class hours.
  • Visit the “Governing Docs” section of the website to review community guidelines and deed restrictions.

Whether you’re swimming laps, joining an aerobics class, or simply soaking up some sun, Lakes of Bella Terra residents can look forward to a vibrant and active 2025 pool season—just don’t forget that waiver!
