Lakes of Bella Terra Barracudas Swim Team Opens 2025 Registration Soon
Families in the Lakes of Bella Terra neighborhood are gearing up for another exciting summer swim season as the Lakes of Bella Terra (LOBT) Barracudas Swim Team prepares to open 2025 registration. Returning families can sign up starting March 19, 2025, while registration opens to new families on March 24, 2025. This highly anticipated summer league offers young swimmers the chance to compete, develop skills, and build friendships in a competitive yet fun community environment.
A Competitive & Community-Oriented Swim Team in Katy
As part of the West Houston Aquatic League (WHALe), the LOBT Barracudas Swim Team is designed for swimmers ages 5 to 18 who meet specific skill requirements. The league promotes a balance between competition and enjoyment, ensuring that participants gain valuable experience while fostering a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie within the Lakes of Bella Terra community.
To qualify, swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle unassisted. Coaches and board members will conduct evaluations on the first day of practice (April 28, 2025) to confirm eligibility. Any swimmer unable to meet the criteria will receive a 50% refund on registration fees.

Registration Fees & Costs

$160 per swimmer, with discounts for multiple children in the same family ($140 for second swimmer, $120 for third, etc.).

$20 additional fee for swimmers outside of the Lakes of Bella Terra neighborhood.

$45 registration fee for swimmers ages 15-18.

Team swimsuit required (approx. $35 female, $30 male).

Volunteer requirement: Each family must fulfill designated volunteer hours throughout the season. A $200 deposit check is required and returned upon completion of volunteer duties.

Refund policy: 25% refund available if a swimmer withdraws within the first week of practice. No refunds after the Mock Meet on May 21, 2025.

The LOBT Barracudas Swim Team offers young swimmers the opportunity to improve their swimming techniques and endurance, compete in a structured yet supportive environment, foster friendships and build community spiritwithin Lakes of Bella Terra, and participate in exciting weekly swim meets.
How to Register
Families can register online through the official LOBT Barracudas Swim Team website. As part of the 2025 WHALe Policies and Procedures, at least one parent or family member must commit to volunteering throughout the season. Volunteers are crucial in ensuring smooth operations at meets and events.
