Klein ISD Celebrates 57 Years of Agricultural Education and Student Achievement at Annual FFA Livestock & Project Show
From February 3–7, 2026, the Klein community will once again come together to celebrate tradition, agriculture, and student excellence at the 57th Annual Klein ISD FFA Livestock & Project Show, hosted at the Klein Multipurpose Center at 7500 Farm to Market 2920, Klein, TX 77379. This multi-day event is more than just a livestock exhibition—it’s a vibrant community tradition that highlights the hard work, leadership, and hands-on skills of local FFA students across the district.
As one of the longest-running student-led events in Klein ISD, the Livestock & Project Show serves as a capstone experience for students involved in agricultural education and FFA (Future Farmers of America). It’s a public showcase of student-developed projects ranging from animal husbandry and floral design to photography, mechanics, and horticulture.
A Proud Klein ISD Tradition Since 1969
With its roots tracing back over five decades, the Klein ISD FFA Livestock & Project Show began in 1969 as a modest event supporting local student agriculture. Since then, it has grown in size and scope, now welcoming hundreds of student exhibitors and attracting community members, local businesses, and industry buyers from across northwest Harris County and the Greater Houston area. The show has become a symbol of the district’s strong support for career and technical education (CTE), especially in the fields of agriculture, science, and engineering.

A Full Week of Student-Led Showcases and Community Engagement
This year’s schedule features a variety of judged competitions, including breeding rabbit and poultry shows, goat and steer showmanship, agriculture mechanics, horticulture, and even a floral design competition. Many of these events are open to the public, with judging panels led by seasoned professionals such as Troy Jones, Dean Fuchs, Sarah Burke, and others.
The grand finale is the highly anticipated Live Auction, which takes place Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 PM in the arena, preceded by a Buyer’s Reception at 11:00 AM. Attendees can also participate in the Freezer Sale, where local supporters and businesses can purchase livestock and perishable projects directly from the students. These sales are not only a reward for months of student effort—they also help fund future projects, scholarships, and educational goals.

Investing in the Future of Agriculture
FFA programs within Klein ISD play a vital role in preparing students for real-world careers, instilling practical knowledge in animal science, plant science, agribusiness, and environmental systems. Across Texas, FFA is recognized as one of the most impactful youth organizations, and Klein ISD has consistently been a strong contributor to its success. The Livestock & Project Show remains one of the most tangible ways the public can witness this impact up close.
