Katy ISD Hosts Summer Job Fair to Recruit Talented Educators for the Upcoming Academic Year

May 31 2024

As the upcoming academic year fast approaches, Katy ISD is ramping up its talent search to grow its team of dedicated and talented educators. To support this goal, the district has announced a Summer Certified Teacher Job Fair.

The job fair will take place on Monday, June 17, 2024, between 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Legacy Stadium, located at 1830 Katyland Drive, Katy, TX 77493. Administrators from the district’s elementary and secondary campuses will be present to conduct on-site interviews and to answer any queries that potential applicants may have.

Visitors to the job fair are advised to bring their resume and proof of their Texas teaching certification or a Statement of Eligibility (SOE) from their Alternative Certification Program.

Katy ISD is the fifth-largest school district in Texas, with over 17,000 full-time and part-time employees. Serving approximately 96,000 students, the district enrolls an additional 2,000 students each year. Meeting the growing needs of the district, new educators are hired throughout the school year to accommodate the increased student population.

The upcoming school year is particularly exciting for the district as it plans to open two new schools - Nelson Junior High and Freeman High School. “This is a great opportunity for passionate educators to join Katy ISD, Houston’s top school district,” said Brian Schuss, Chief Human Resources Officer at Katy ISD.

Ranked as the top public school district in the Houston area, Katy ISD has received an A+ overall grade on Niche. The district was also recognized as a 2023 Forbes Best Employer in Texas. More information can be obtained by visiting the Katy ISD Human Resources webpage.

The Summer Certified Teacher Job Fair is an opportunity for educators seeking to make a significant impact through their profession. It is a chance to be part of a district that is committed to providing quality education to its growing student population.
