Katy ISD Honors its 2022-23 Teachers of the Year With Annual Brick Unveiling Ceremony
On the evening of December 5, Katy ISD came together with local event sponsors to host a special event celebrating the outstanding achievements of the 2022-23 Campus Teachers of the Year. During this annual tradition, 74 exceptional educators etch their names into history on commemorative bricks displayed at Katy Heritage Park.
“Our teachers invest countless hours of time and energy into ensuring that every Katy ISD student receives the very best educational experience possible,” said Dr. Ken Gregorski, Superintendent of Schools. “These honorees have made a lasting impact in the lives of their students. Our community is proud of their commitment to excellence and congratulate them for their well-deserved recognition,” he added.
This event not only celebrates Katy ISD Campus Teachers of the Year; it showcases a cherished site that symbolizes the decades of unparalleled learning experiences delivered throughout Katy ISD campuses.
Sponsored by Venus Construction, Modern Pest Control and the Katy Heritage Society, this momentous occasion was attended by supportive family members, colleagues, and students whose lives have been positively impacted by these 74 men and women. Setting the mood for the evening’s festivities was the talented Cinco Ranch Bravo Show Choir which delivered a heartfelt performance.
