Katy ISD Gold Card Club Gives Green Trails Estates Seniors Free Access to Athletics and Fine Arts
For older adults in Green Trails Estates, some of the best entertainment in Katy may be found inside a school auditorium, gymnasium or stadium—and Katy ISD makes it easier for eligible residents to be part of it.
The Katy ISD Gold Card Club is a free program available to Katy ISD residents age 65 and older. Retired Katy ISD employees who are at least 65 may also participate, regardless of where they currently live.
Gold Card members receive free admission to district-sponsored regular-season athletic events at Katy ISD campuses and at Legacy and Rhodes stadiums. The card does not cover playoff games.
Members can also receive free or reduced-price admission to most Katy ISD fine arts events, with fundraising events excluded. Band, orchestra and choir concerts are often free, while plays, musicals and dance productions may require a discounted ticket. Reservations may also be required when complimentary or reduced-price seating is limited.
How to Get a Katy ISD Gold Card
Eligible residents must visit the Katy ISD Education Support Complex at 6301 South Stadium Lane during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Applicants should bring valid identification displaying their name, address and date of birth. Members must present their Gold Card at participating events to receive the program’s benefits.

Attending a student performance or athletic competition offers benefits that extend beyond an affordable evening out. These events give older residents opportunities to stay socially active, reconnect with neighbors and follow the accomplishments of young people in their community.
A familiar face in the audience or stands can also mean a great deal to students. When Green Trails Estates seniors attend, they become part of the encouragement surrounding student musicians, actors, dancers and athletes.
For eligible residents, the Katy ISD Gold Card provides a simple invitation to leave the house, enjoy local talent and remain connected to the schools serving Green Trails Estates.
