Katy ISD Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremonies Kick Off May 15

As the academic year draws to a close, Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) prepares to honor the accomplishments of its graduating seniors with a series of commencement ceremonies. With a commitment to academic excellence and student success, Katy ISD is proud to celebrate the achievements of its graduates and the bright futures that lie ahead.

Graduation Ceremonies

This year, Katy ISD will host graduation ceremonies for its high schools at Legacy Stadium, located at 1830 Katyland Dr, Katy, TX 77493. The ceremonies will be spread out over several days to accommodate the graduating classes of each high school within the district.

Fireworks

At the event's conclusion, a brief 45-second firework display will take place. Graduation ceremonies typically end between 9:30 p.m. and 9:55 p.m., depending on class size. Prioritizing safety, the district has enlisted a professional pyrotechnics company to manage the display and provide safety personnel to protect both operators and spectators. Both the pyrotechnics company and Katy ISD have secured all necessary licenses and permits from the City of Katy.

Katy ISD has implemented a Clear Bag Regulation for graduation ceremonies at Legacy Stadium to enhance safety and expedite entry.
