
Katy ISD Board Work Study Meeting Set for October 20: What Falcon Point East Families Should Know
The Katy Independent School District Board of Trustees will host its next Board Work Study Meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Education Support Complex Board Room, located at 6301 South Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494. Residents across Falcon Point East and the wider district are encouraged to participate—whether by attending in person or tuning in via livestream.
This meeting provides an opportunity for Katy ISD families to stay engaged in decisions that affect their students, schools, and neighborhoods. While the event will be open to the public, a livestream will also be available by 5:00 p.m. the day of the meeting at katyisd.org/board/board/board-meeting-videos, with archived videos posted within seven days and maintained online for at least two years in accordance with Katy ISD Board Policy BE (LEGAL) and BE (LOCAL).
What’s on the Agenda?
At this Work Study Meeting, the Board will discuss and consider several important topics, including:
- Budget amendments for October 2025
- Emergent Bilingual (EB) enrollment and bilingual/ESL waiver applications
- Design plans and renovation contracts for Polly Ann McRoberts and Jeanette Hayes Elementary Schools
- Approval of construction contracts for Junior High School #19
- Building envelope and re-roof projects at Jo Ella Exley and West Memorial Elementary Schools
- Proposed changes to Board Policy FM (Local)
In addition, the Board will review reports on quarterly investments, the August 2025 check register, and donated items received by the district.

Public Comment and Participation
Community members who wish to speak during the Public Comment portion of the meeting must sign up in advance by emailing publicspeakers@katyisd.org by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20. Be sure to include your full name, mailing address, the agenda item(s) you wish to speak on, and whether you are a Katy ISD resident or have children in the district. Note that only comments on posted agenda items will be permitted during this Work Study Meeting.
