Katy ISD Announces 2022-2023 Volunteers of the Year
Katy ISD’s Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) hosted their annual Volunteer Celebration on April 28th honoring the thousands of school district volunteers who give the gift of their time and talents to Katy ISD students and teachers. This school year, Katy ISD counted 1 Raptor registered volunteer for every 4 students.
Over 1,000 volunteers attended the celebration to hear this year’s keynote speaker, Major League Baseball veteran, Houston Astros TV color analyst and Katy ISD Dad, Geoff Blum. District-wide entertainment was provided by the Katy ISD Elite Jazz Ensemble, Robertson Elementary Choir, Baseball Captains, and Drum Lines from all nine Katy ISD High Schools.
