Keep Fulshear Beautiful Cleanup Set for April 25 at Irene Stern Community Center
Residents who take pride in the appearance and future of Fulshear will soon have an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and make a visible difference in their community.
The Keep Fulshear Beautiful volunteer cleanup event will take place Saturday, April 25, 2026, bringing together families, neighbors, local businesses, and civic partners to help keep the growing Fort Bend County city clean, welcoming, and environmentally healthy.
Volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at the Irene Stern Community Center, located at 6920 Fulshear Katy Rd, Fulshear, TX 77441, where participants will receive a quick snack, event assignments, cleanup supplies, and complimentary event T-shirts before heading out across the area to begin the morning’s projects.
The event reflects a growing tradition of community engagement in Fulshear, where residents frequently step forward to protect the natural beauty and small-town character that has long defined the city.
Community Volunteers to Remove Litter and Restore Pollinator Garden
During the April cleanup, volunteers will focus on several hands-on projects aimed at improving the local environment.
Participants will help collect roadside litter, restore and replant the community’s Pollinator Garden, and take part in a drive-through electronic recycling initiative designed to properly dispose of unwanted electronics and reduce waste.
The projects serve both practical and educational purposes—helping remove debris from local roadways while also supporting pollinators that play a vital role in the health of Texas ecosystems.
After the morning’s work concludes, volunteers will return to the Stern Community Center around noon, where a hot lunch catered by La Balance will be served as a thank-you to participants.
Organizers say the event is intentionally designed to be family-friendly, encouraging residents of all ages to roll up their sleeves and participate in strengthening their community.

Keep Fulshear Beautiful Builds a Culture of Civic Pride
he cleanup is organized through Keep Fulshear Beautiful, a volunteer-driven initiative focused on helping the city maintain its natural charm as it continues to grow.
The group works to bring residents together around a shared goal: ensuring that Fulshear remains clean, attractive, and welcoming for families, businesses, and visitors alike.
Cleanup events are held twice each year—once in April and once in November—giving residents regular opportunities to contribute to the city's beautification efforts.
As new neighborhoods, businesses, and amenities continue to arrive in the rapidly growing Katy–Fulshear area, initiatives like Keep Fulshear Beautiful play an important role in preserving the character and quality of life that attracted many residents to the community in the first place.

This year’s cleanup is supported by a wide range of community sponsors and partners who share an interest in maintaining the health and appearance of the city.
Sponsors include GFL Environmental, the City of Fulshear, H-E-B, BGE, Wallis Bank, DHK Developers, Century Communities, and Keep Texas Beautiful.

Part of a Statewide Effort to Keep Texas Beautiful
The initiative is also part of a broader statewide network through Keep Texas Beautiful, a nonprofit organization founded in 1967 that works to inspire Texans to improve and protect their communities.
The organization supports local affiliates across the state by providing resources, education, and programs designed to reduce litter, increase recycling access, and engage residents—particularly youth—in environmental stewardship.
Through initiatives like Keep Texas Recycling, the organization helps communities develop recycling programs and reduce waste in rural and underserved areas while also working to prevent litter from entering waterways and eventually reaching the Gulf of Mexico.
Each year, the Keep Texas Beautiful network reaches more than 17 million Texans, demonstrating the impact of volunteer-driven community improvement efforts across the state.
