Katy Elks Host Veterans Valentine’s Fundraiser and Steak Night Celebration on February 14

February 10 2026

Love will be in the air in Katy this Valentine’s Day—but so will service, tradition, and community spirit.

The Katy Elks Lodge #2628 is hosting its annual Veterans Valentine’s Fundraiser, giving residents a meaningful way to celebrate February 14 while directly supporting local veterans and charitable programs. In addition to flower sales leading up to the holiday, the Lodge will open its doors on Saturday, February 14, 2026, for a full evening of food and fellowship.

The Lodge opens at 5 p.m., followed by a Valentine’s Steak Dinner at 6 p.m. for $25. The evening continues with the popular Queen of Hearts drawing at 8 p.m., and karaoke beginning at 8:30 p.m., offering a relaxed and welcoming way for couples, families, and friends to spend the holiday locally. Text 281-804-8425 or email lizsample69@gmail.com to RSVP.

Valentine’s Flowers That Give Back in Katy

The Veterans Valentine’s Fundraiser features classic Valentine’s Day roses and mixed flower arrangements. Roses are available for $60 per dozen or $30 per half dozen, and mixed arrangements begin at $35, depending on size. All orders must be placed by February 12, 2026.

Orders can be submitted by emailing vetcom2628@gmail.com or by texting 281-804-8425. The fundraiser is based at the Katy Elks Lodge, 1050 Katy Fort Bend Road, a well-known gathering place for members and the broader Katy community.

Proceeds support veterans programs and other charitable efforts championed by the Lodge throughout the year.

A Legacy of Service: Who Are the Elks?

Founded on February 16, 1868, in New York, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has grown into one of the largest and most active fraternal organizations in the world, with more than 2,100 lodges nationwide. Their motto—“Elks Care, Elks Share”—reflects a long-standing commitment to public service.

Since 1878, the Elks have contributed more than $3.5 billion to charitable, welfare, educational, and veterans programs. Each year, the organization awards an estimated $3.3 million in college scholarships. Programs range from drug awareness education to extensive Veterans Services initiatives, as well as local outreach projects.

The Elks are also a 100% volunteer organization, powered entirely by members who donate their time and resources to strengthen their communities.

Some well-known public figures have been Elks members over the years, including Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, Lawrence Welk, and Clint Eastwood.

Katy Elks #2628: Local Impact Close to Home

Here in Katy, Lodge #2628 carries that national mission into the local community. In addition to supporting veterans and scholarships, the Lodge plays a significant role in the Sweetheart Program, which serves as the primary fundraiser for the Texas Elks Camp in Ottine. The camp provides more than 350 children with special needs a cost-free week of camp each year. Funds also help local lodges purchase adaptive equipment and services for children in their own communities.

Events like the Veterans Valentine’s Fundraiser and Valentine’s Steak Night help sustain these programs, ensuring that assistance stays close to home.
