Join the Copperfield Crime Watch Committee and Make a Difference

September 11 2024

Are you interested in enhancing the safety of your neighborhood and working closely with local law enforcement? The Copperfield Crime Watch Committee, a vital part of the Copperfield Community Association (CCA), is looking for passionate residents like you to join their efforts in promoting security and crime awareness in our community.

What Is the Crime Watch Committee?

The Copperfield Crime Watch Committee serves as the link between the CCA and our security patrol contractor, the Harris County Sheriff's Department. The Committee’s main goal is to foster a safer environment by actively engaging in crime prevention and monitoring the performance of our law enforcement services.

Why Join the Committee?

  1. Enhance Neighborhood Security: By joining the Crime Watch Committee, you’ll help in monitoring the effectiveness of our security patrol and ensure that Copperfield remains a safe and secure place to live.

  2. Promote Awareness: The Committee works to raise awareness about crime prevention, encouraging residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities. This collective vigilance is crucial in preventing crime and maintaining a safe community.

  3. Engage with Law Enforcement: The Committee provides an excellent opportunity to interact with the Harris County Sheriff’s deputies, fostering a collaborative environment between residents and law enforcement.

  4. Be a Community Leader: As a member, you’ll be instrumental in creating a culture of safety and participation in your neighborhood, contributing to the overall well-being of Copperfield.

How to Get Involved

Meetings for the Copperfield Crime Watch Committee are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Copperfield Community Center, located at 15409 Willow River Drive. If the first Wednesday coincides with a holiday or other conflict, meetings may be rescheduled within the month.

For more information or to express your interest in joining the Crime Watch Committee, call the Copperfield Community Center at 281-856-9060. Your involvement can make a significant impact, helping to keep Copperfield a safe and welcoming community for everyone.

Join us in making a difference—together, we can help keep our neighborhood safe and secure!
