Cavender’s Boot City Opens in Copperfield, Bringing Iconic Western Wear to Northwest Houston
Copperfield-area residents can now shop one of Texas’ most beloved Western retailers without leaving the neighborhood. Cavender’s Boot City has officially opened its doors at 6757 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77084 in the Copperwood Village Shopping Center, bringing its full lineup of cowboy boots, Western apparel, and specialty services to Northwest Houston.
Founded in 1965, Cavender’s has grown into a nationally recognized name in Western lifestyle fashion. What began as a small Pittsburg, Texas, boot shop with just three Tony Lama styles has become a Western fashion staple, featuring industry-leading brands like Wrangler, Cinch, Ariat, Twisted X, and Stetson.
“Since 1965, Cavender’s has been the go-to destination for cowboy boots and Western wear,” the company noted when announcing the Copperfield opening. “Now, we’re proud to offer more of what our customers love by opening an additional Houston store—right here in Copperfield!”

The new location doesn’t just sell boots and apparel. Customers can take advantage of Cavender’s personalized boot fitting, professional hat cleaning and shaping, and expert boot stretching services designed to ensure every piece fits perfectly.
“From everyday ranch wear to head-turning rodeo looks, we have boots, apparel, and accessories to fit your lifestyle,” Cavender’s shared, highlighting the store’s wide-ranging appeal to everyone from working ranchers to rodeo fans.
The opening follows an extensive renovation of the 23,500-square-foot former Party City space. Earlier this summer, state permit filings showed Cavender’s invested approximately $550,000 to transform the building, signaling a strong commitment to the growing Copperfield community.
Cavender’s also brings exclusive perks for its My Cavender’s members, including receipt-free returns, free shipping on all orders, and special member-only offers.

The Copperfield opening fills a retail void created by nationwide Party City closures earlier this year, while adding to the Western wear retailer’s growing Houston presence. The Copperfield Cavender’s Boot City is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
