From the NCCIA Board of Directors
IT’S OFFICIAL! WE’RE ON FACEBOOK.
We are delighted to announce that the NCCIA finally has an official Facebook page. The page will provide updates about our neighborhood and will also serve as an additional form of communication between the Board and our community. Comments will be regulated, so please remain friendly and respectful.
Please note that there are two Nottingham Country Facebook pages: the official NCCIA one is Nottingham Country HOA and the unofficial page is Nottingham Country residents. We encourage you to join both if you like. Very special thanks go out to Board members Erin Slavik and Kristen Gilfillan for getting our page up and running!
Please remember that if you wish to contact a Board member directly, the best way to do that is to find his or her contact information on the Nottingham Country website: https://nottinghamcountry.org/contacts/.
HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT CLEARED OUT
Deputies from Harris County Precinct 5 have removed the homeless people who were residing in the woods at the intersection of I-10 and Westgreen. The owners of the property worked with the precinct to remove all trash from the site and the owners intend to take steps to prevent the area from becoming an encampment in the future. If you see people in the area, please report it to Precinct 5; the dispatch number is 281-463-6666. The NCCIA is extremely grateful to Precinct 5 for its assistance in this matter.
SWEETWATER SEEKS LIFEGUARDS
Sweetwater Pools Inc., which is the pool management company for our pool (Mason Creek), is already looking for lifeguards for next summer. Anyone 15 years old or older can apply. It’s a great job with a flexible schedule, so ideal for teens. There’s a lot of information about lifeguarding on the company’s website, even a preapplication: https://sweetwaterpoolsinc.com. You can also contact Sweetwater via email or phone: employment@sweetwaterpoolsinc.com or 281-988-8480.
A SALUTE TO BOB WILLS
The NCCIA is sad to announce that Bob Wills passed away in November of 2021 after a lingering illness. He provided excellent service to the Board for 17 years, most recently as treasurer. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Mason Creek Utility District. He was a valued member of both Boards and will be missed.
ODDS AND ENDS
Please remove your Christmas decorations during the first few weeks of January. The Christmas spirit loses its luster after a while.
Your annual HOA assessment fee is due by Dec. 31, 2021. Please pay it before the deadline or you will be charged a late fee. You can pay online via our management company’s portal: https://portal.scsmgmt.com/home_v2/Login.
We will announce new NCCIA Board members in next month’s newsletter.
Security Report for October 2021
Don’t forget that if you see suspicious activity, please notify our office so we can respond accordingly. The Precinct 5 dispatch number is 281-463-6666. Sgt. R. Felix, Precinct 5.
Foreclosures Report
We have one foreclosure to report: 20630 Prince Creek and it is owned by Wells Fargo Bank.
