Increased Patrols on Champions Park Drive as Speeding and Stop Sign Violations Raise Safety Concerns

July 08 2025

Residents along Champions Park Drive have voiced growing concerns about drivers speeding and failing to make complete stops at multiple intersections throughout the neighborhood. In response, the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office has stepped up patrols and is actively issuing citations in an effort to curb these dangerous driving behaviors.

Heading north on Champions Park Drive, stop signs are clearly posted at Coral Ridge, Pebble Beach, Apple Valley, Walton Heath, Blue Hills, and Richardson Road. Despite the 30 MPH speed limit, residents report that many vehicles travel well above the legal limit and often roll through or completely ignore stop signs—putting pedestrians, cyclists, children, and other drivers at risk.

Neighborhood streets like Champions Park Drive are designed for residential traffic, where safety must be the top priority. Families walk their dogs, children ride their bikes, and neighbors often gather near intersections—making it all the more critical for drivers to slow down and observe all traffic rules.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that even a few seconds saved by speeding or skipping a stop sign is never worth the potential cost of an accident or injury. Increased enforcement is meant to serve as both a deterrent and a reminder: safe driving protects lives.

Residents are encouraged to stay vigilant and report recurring issues, and drivers are strongly urged to respect speed limits and stop signs. Slowing down and driving responsibly makes a meaningful difference in maintaining a safe and peaceful neighborhood for everyone.
