How to Request Storm Debris Pick Up in Your Neighborhood, Cooling Centers and More

Harris County Precinct 1, your precinct, is ready to respond to the current and after effects of Beryl in collaboration with Harris County.

After a disaster, residents should document all personal property damages with photos before doing any work to clean up.  These photos will help provide documentation to insurance providers, FEMA, SBA, and other entities assisting impacted residents. 

Harris County residents should report their damages via the Home Damage & Community Needs Assessment Survey.  The Harris County Connective survey allows you to connect with additional local resources and recovery organizations as aid becomes available.

Relief During Heat Advisory

Another Heat Advisory has been issued for Thursday, July 11 by the US National Weather Service-Houston Galveston. With heat index values up to 106°F, the heat wave could cause dangerous conditions due to the widespread loss of power and A/C. Please click the image below to view a list of community centers to provide a cool place for residents to recharge their devices and more.

Additionally, Harris County Precinct 1 has opened the following facilities as cooling centers to escape the heat, which will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 11:


The following facilities will be open as Distribution Locations, open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (or until supplies run out) on Thursday, July 11:
