Houston SPCA Pet of the Week: Ivy
A Message from Ivy
I am proof that when one door closes, another one opens. I found myself abandoned and alone in an apartment until the Houston SPCA came to my rescue. Countless people walk by my room every day, not understanding that I need a minute to get settled before I open up. If you look past my shyness, you'll find I'm actually eager for human connection.
My favorite trick is rolling over for some belly rubs. I enjoy taking it easy and strolling around to stop and smell the roses. By providing a safe and peaceful home I long for, you'll be rewarded with a lifetime of unconditional love and companionship.
I am a Very Important Pup (VIP) which means my adoption fee is only $10! I hope to see you this weekend! Let’s hang out in our play yard and you can also meet my other roommates. I'm available for $10, including my microchip, spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, a free sample bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition, and a free post-exam from any VCA Animal Hospital.
The Houston SPCA is located at 7007 Old Katy Rd, Houston, TX 77024. The Adoption Center is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adoptions are open daily Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can view all the available pets in advance at houstonspca.org.
