Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025: Northwest Houston Dining Destinations Join Forces to Fight Hunger
One of the Bayou City’s most cherished culinary traditions returns this August, and several top restaurants in Northwest Houston are ready to serve with purpose.
Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025 officially runs August 1 through Labor Day, September 1, giving food lovers 32 flavorful days to enjoy prix fixe menus at popular restaurants while raising funds to support the Houston Food Bank—one of the nation’s largest and most impactful hunger relief organizations.
Founded in 2003 by late Houston food journalist and radio host Cleverley Stone, the event was designed to bolster local restaurants during the slowest month of the year. Over the past 22 years, more than $22 million has been raised, translating into over 66 million meals for Houstonians experiencing food insecurity. The fundraiser is now overseen by her daughter, Katie Stone, who leads The Cleverley Stone Foundation.
“The purpose of Houston Restaurant Weeks since its inception has been to support the restaurant community,” said Katie Stone. “Over 22 years it has become a juggernaut of a fundraiser and a great opportunity for Houstonians to explore our vibrant food scene.”

How Your Meal Gives Back
Each HRW menu is crafted to include a built-in donation to the Houston Food Bank, with this year’s pricing and contribution structure as follows:
HRW Meal Price
|
Donation Per Meal
|
Meals Provided by
Houston Food Bank
|
Dinner – $55 | $5 | 15 meals |
Dinner – $39 | $3 | 9 meals |
Brunch – $25 | $1 | 3 meals |
Lunch – $25 | $1 | 3 meals |
This modified structure reflects the rising operational costs restaurants face today. Similar to adjustments made during the pandemic, the tiered approach helps restaurants remain profitable while still making an impact.
“The Houston Food Bank is so grateful to again be the beneficiary of Houston Restaurant Weeks,” said Brian Greene, President and CEO of the Houston Food Bank. “The funds raised by this event are more critical than ever, at a time when food banks are experiencing both funding cuts and increased need in the community.”
