Known as the largest kids triathlon in the world, this highly anticipated event offers a fun, family-friendly experience designed for children of all skill levels and abilities.
A USAT-Sanctioned Event with Perks for Young Athletes
The Houston Texans Kids Triathlon is a USA Triathlon (USAT)-sanctioned youth triathlon, ensuring a professionally organized and safe event for all participants. Open to kids ages 6-15, this event gives young athletes the opportunity to compete in an exciting multi-sport race while enjoying an unforgettable day at Typhoon Texas Waterpark. As an added bonus, all participants receive free park entry on the day of their race, allowing families to make the most of their time at one of Houston’s premier waterparks.

A Race for Everyone
The Houston Kids Triathlon aims to introduce young athletes to the world of multi-sport racing in a supportive and exciting environment. This year’s event features a variety of race options to ensure that every child—regardless of experience or ability—has the opportunity to participate.
Participants can compete in short and long course triathlons, which include a swim, bike, and run segment, as well as alternative race options such as the Splash & Dash (swim and run) and the Ride & Dash (bike and run). The event also proudly includes a paratriathlon and adaptive Splash & Dash, ensuring that athletes with disabilities can join the fun. Assisted options are available for those who may need extra support to complete the race.

Registration for in-person events ranges from $85 to $95, and spots are filling quickly. Parents can register their children online at Houston Kids Tri Registration.
For those unable to attend in person, a Virtual Triathlon option is available for $60. Open to ages 17 and under, this allows young athletes to complete the race remotely on their own schedule.
