Houston Food Bank Hosts Resources and Enrollment Event for Houstonians in Need
The Houston Food Bank is set to launch the new year with an impactful community event aimed at providing crucial resources and enrollment assistance to Houstonians. On Friday, January 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the organization’s Community Assistance Program (CAP) will host a Resources and Enrollment Assistance event at its headquarters located at 535 Portwall Street, Houston, TX, 77029.
This free event will cater to individuals, families, and small business owners seeking support in areas such as health insurance enrollment, tax assistance, and access to vital resources like baby formula and job search services. Spanish-speaking staff will be on-site to assist attendees who require bilingual support.
Established in 1982, the Houston Food Bank is the largest food bank in the United States, serving Houston and southeast Texas. Each year, the organization facilitates access to 120 million nutritious meals across 18 counties through its network of 1,600 community partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and schools.
