Hopper MS, Langham Creek HS, CyLife Church Establish Adopt-a-School Partnership
Representatives from CyLife Church visited the staffs of Hopper Middle School and Langham Creek High School on Sept. 8 and Sept. 19, respectively, to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with both campuses.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
“The mission of our church is to live and love like Jesus,” Hammonds said. “What that looks like for us is to be part of our community. We have a global mission and that mission starts at home first. We want to make sure we’re walking with our fellow community members to help change the culture, to make everything inclusive and living and loving like Jesus throughout the entire community.”
Dawn Tryon, director of community engagement, expressed her excitement for CyLife adopting both Hopper and Langham Creek.
“I was thrilled when Rod and his team said they were ready to commit their time, resources and energy to a campus in need of an adoption partner and then he shared that they wanted to adopt two campuses,” Tryon said. “The campus principals and staffs of these two deserving schools felt the joy in the room and felt so valued and appreciated by our community when CyLife was announced as their official Adopt-a-School partners.”
