Honey Pig Korean BBQ Expands to San Antonio with Northwoods Location Set to Open in 2026
A beloved name in Korean BBQ is bringing the heat to San Antonio. Honey Pig, the female-led, minority-owned restaurant group known for its lively K-pop vibe and authentic Korean grilling experience, is preparing to open its first Alamo City location in fall 2026. The new restaurant will be located at 18130 San Pedro Avenue, Suite No. 88, San Antonio, TX 78232 within the Northwoods Shopping Center in Bexar County.
The upcoming San Antonio location represents a $600,000 renovation project, transforming a 5,063-square-foot existing lease space into a fully equipped Korean BBQ destination. Construction is slated to begin in early March 2026, with completion targeted for the end of October 2026.
This marks a significant expansion for Honey Pig in Texas, joining its existing locations in Houston, Katy, and Austin. The brand has already built a strong following in the Lone Star State, and this new spot aims to satisfy the growing demand for Korean cuisine in San Antonio’s diverse and ever-expanding food scene.
Founded by Micky Kim in 2007, Honey Pig began with a single location in Annandale, Virginia. Kim, who immigrated to the U.S. in the 1970s, launched the brand with the goal of sharing her love for Korean culture and cuisine with the broader community. Today, Honey Pig operates more than a dozen locations across Texas, Virginia, and Maryland—including its signature “Hot Pot + Korean BBQ” concepts in Manassas and Ellicott City, and its latest fast-casual venture, Honey Pig Cupbop, which is also expanding to Austin and several East Coast cities.

While each Honey Pig restaurant reflects the same core dedication to bold flavors and upbeat atmospheres, menus may vary slightly by location. The highly popular “All-You-Can-Eat” experience is currently exclusive to select locations in Virginia, and there’s no word yet if San Antonio will offer this option. However, fans can still expect signature dishes like marinated bulgogi, spicy pork belly, sizzling beef ribs, and boneless pork neck—grilled tableside and served with traditional Korean side dishes.
This new Honey Pig location will bring a unique, hands-on Korean BBQ experience to an area already known for its variety of food options. For locals in neighborhoods like Stone Oak and Hollywood Park, it’s a welcome addition that's sure to become a favorite for everything from casual dinners to lively group gatherings.
Honey Pig’s expansion into San Antonio not only brings flavorful food to the table, but also highlights the ongoing success of a brand built on cultural pride, community loyalty, and culinary excellence. With over 350 employees across its locations and more growth on the horizon, Honey Pig continues to be a vibrant force in the U.S. restaurant industry.
Stay tuned for grand opening updates and menu previews as Honey Pig prepares to fire up the grills in San Antonio later this year. For now, local foodies can look forward to a new destination that blends authentic Korean BBQ with a Texas-sized welcome.
