Hearthstone’s September 2026 Yard of the Month Brings a Stately Touch to Blenheim Palace Court
For Hearthstone residents, a well-kept yard is often about more than curb appeal. It is part of the character of the neighborhood, and each month, the Hearthstone Garden Club’s Yard of the Month recognition offers a chance to celebrate homeowners whose landscaping helps make the community feel cared for.
For September 2026, that recognition goes to the Bennetts at 14311 Blenheim Palace Court, a home that combines mature landscaping, layered planting beds and architectural details into a polished front-yard design.
“The Bennett's house at 14311 Blenheim Palace Court greets you with a beautiful slate walkway. The ivy framing the doorway draws the eye to the majestic front doors, flanked by gas lamps with seasonal color on the door,” said Carol P., secretary of the Hearthstone Garden Club.
Layered Landscaping Adds Depth and Color
The front beds use a tiered planting approach that gives the landscaping both structure and visual depth. Pittosporum forms the back layer, loropetalum fills the middle, and vincas brighten the front, creating a gradual transition toward the home.
The mature oak trees are also surrounded by vincas, while ivy creates a low-growing carpet beneath the pine trees.

Some of the property’s seasonal plantings are less noticeable at this point in the year but still contribute to the overall landscape. Mexican petunias, Lily of the Nile and ferns are among the plants growing throughout the beds, helping carry color and texture through different seasons.
Even the backyard offers another layer of interest, with blooming lantana and a few gourds trying to push through the lingering late-summer heat.
A Familiar Name in Hearthstone’s Yard of the Month
This is not the Bennetts’ first Hearthstone Yard of the Month honor. September’s recognition marks their third win, including two within the past 10 years.
“This is the third win for the Bennetts with two in the last 10 years. They have cultivated a stately elegant look,” Carol said.
That consistency is part of what makes the property stand out. Rather than relying on one dramatic feature, the landscaping comes together through repeated attention to detail, from the slate walkway and ivy-framed entrance to the layered flower beds and mature trees.
For Hearthstone neighbors looking for landscaping ideas, the September 2026 Yard of the Month offers an example of how established plantings, seasonal color and thoughtful layering can work together without overwhelming a home’s architecture.
The Hearthstone Garden Club’s Yard of the Month tradition also serves as a small but meaningful reminder of the pride residents continue to take in the appearance and character of the neighborhood, one front yard at a time.
