Hays CISD Homecoming 2026: Parade, Game and Dance Dates Set for Hays, Lehman and Johnson High Schools
Homecoming season is about to bring a familiar mix of school spirit, Friday night football and community tradition to Hays CISD.
The district has released its 2026 homecoming schedule for Hays High School, Lehman High School and Johnson High School, giving students, families, alumni and neighbors time to mark their calendars for parades, games and dances beginning Sept. 30 and continuing through Oct. 17. The district's Homecoming 2026 flyer highlights the three campuses and the theme of "Tradition, Community, Brighter Together."
For families across the Hays CISD community, the schedule means three separate opportunities to gather around their schools. Each campus will hold its own homecoming parade, football game and student dance, giving the Hawks, Jaguars and Lobos their own week in the spotlight.
Hays High School Homecoming 2026 begins Sept. 30
Hays High School will be the first of the district's three comprehensive high schools to celebrate homecoming.
The Hays High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hays High School. The district has not yet announced the parade time, so families planning to attend will want to watch for an update as the date gets closer.
The celebration continues with the Hays High School Homecoming Game on Friday, Oct. 2.
Students will close out the weekend with the Hays High School Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Hays High School Red Gym.
For longtime Hays families and alumni, homecoming week often stretches beyond the student body itself. Parades and football games give former students, younger siblings and neighbors a chance to reconnect with a campus that has been part of the community for generations.
Johnson High School homecoming follows Oct. 7 through Oct. 10
The following week belongs to Johnson High School.
The Johnson High School Homecoming Parade will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Johnson High School.
The Johnson High School Homecoming Game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, followed by the Johnson High School Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Johnson High School.
For Jaguar families, the four-day stretch creates several ways to participate, whether that means lining the parade route, cheering from the stands or helping students prepare for the weekend's celebrations.
Lehman High School closes out Hays CISD homecoming season
Lehman High School will round out the district's 2026 homecoming calendar in mid-October.
The Lehman High School Homecoming Parade is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Lehman High School.
The Lehman High School Homecoming Game will follow on Friday, Oct. 16.
Lehman students will finish the celebration with the Homecoming Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. The district has not yet announced the exact location for the dance.
That final weekend will bring Hays CISD's three-week homecoming season to a close after celebrations at all three high schools.
