Events like this help residents stay informed about topics that often influence daily life, including:

  • Family-friendly programming and community services

The event will also feature opportunities for residents to learn about county resources and services available throughout Precinct 4.

Why Harris County Precinct 4 Matters to Local Communities

Harris County Precinct 4 is one of the largest precincts in Texas, serving more than 1.2 million residents across western and northern portions of the county, including communities like Williamsburg Settlement and the greater Katy area.

The precinct office plays a significant role in maintaining and improving local infrastructure and community spaces. Its responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining more than 1,600 miles of county roads
  • Supporting nearly four miles of bridges
  • Operating 10 community centers that collectively serve over 700,000 visitors each year
  • Managing 62 parks across more than 14,000 acres of greenspace

These resources support everything from recreation and outdoor access to mobility and emergency preparedness, making county leadership decisions directly relevant to the quality of life in local neighborhoods.

Bringing Resources and Information Closer to Residents

In addition to project updates, the town hall will highlight several programs and services available to residents through Precinct 4, including disaster preparedness resources, family-friendly activities, and community initiatives designed to support local neighborhoods.

Community meetings like this often give residents a chance to learn about services they may not realize are available—from parks programming and senior services to emergency planning tools and neighborhood engagement programs.

For residents of Williamsburg Settlement, attending the town hall may provide helpful insight into how county programs and investments shape the area’s continued growth.
