Hamilton Sixth Grader Named CFISD Student of the Week for Academic Excellence and Positive Attitude
A sixth-grade student at Hamilton Middle School is making waves in the classroom and on the court. Jase Andal, age 12, has been named Cypress-Fairbanks ISD’s Student of the Week after earning praise from teachers for his strong academic performance and positive mindset.
Recognized for achieving the most minutes in the school’s ST Math program, Jase stands out not only for his math skills, but for his enthusiasm and dedication across multiple subjects. His passion for learning, his love of sports, and his grounded values have made him a standout among his peers in the Cy-Fair area.
“My favorite class is pre-athletics because I love sports, especially basketball,” Jase shared. His teachers say that same energy carries over into all areas of his academic work. Whether solving math puzzles or participating in group activities, he brings focus and effort to everything he does.

Jase dreams of playing in the NBA one day and is already laying the groundwork through hard work in school and a deep commitment to his goals. “I want to be an NBA player because basketball is my favorite sport,” he said. Outside of school hours, he enjoys playing basketball and watching sports on TV—especially shows like Swagger and movies like The Game Plan.
When asked about what drives him, Jase responded with clarity: “Sports, math and school.” He also shared the three things he can’t live without: “My phone, the Bible and sports.”
At a time when balancing academics and extracurriculars can be tough for middle schoolers, Jase’s motivation and heart serve as an inspiration to students across Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
From the basketball court to the classroom, Jase Andal is showing the Cy-Fair community that excellence comes from effort, passion, and staying true to who you are.
