Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions Break Ground in Cypress

May 01 2024

As the Cypress area continues to rapidly expand, a leading physician group is actively bringing a new medical complex to meet the medical needs of the community. Recently celebrating the groundbreaking event of a new 60,000-square-foot, three-story, multi-purpose medical office building, the Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions, this state-of-the-art medical facility marks the first phase of a 30-acre development project in the northeast corridor of the Grand Parkway and Highway 290 intersection, according to a recent announcement.

North Cypress Land Ventures, LLC (NCLV), a Houston-based physician investor group, is responsible for the development. The group promotes preventative medicine, genetic testing, and routine cancer screenings as part of their commitment to their patient's health. General surgeon and CEO of NCLV, Dr. Kim Keller, envisions the project as an opportunity to significantly improve access to quality healthcare in the Cypress region. Additional board members consist of Dr. Julius DeBroeck, a primary care physician, Dr. Kumaran Sathyamoorthy, a urologist, and 43 other physicians.

The new facility, named Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion One, will host a state-of-the-art endoscopy surgery centre, providing over 12,000 square feet of specialized healthcare services. Several office spaces have already been leased to anchor tenants that include Keller Surgical Specialists, GastroDoxs, and USPI/Memorial Hermann Hospital Systems.

The groundbreaking ceremony saw investors and contractors involved in the project alongside Dr. Keller, including Dr. Bharat Pothuri, CEO of GastroDoxs, Alexander Keller, Project Consultant, Mark Jang, Consultant, Dr. Kumaran Sathyamoorthy, NCLV Board Member, Willie Stokes, from Davis Stokes Collaborative Architects, P.C., Chip Stokes, General Contractor, CONAR, Dan Lang from Houston Guaranty Bank & Trust, among others.

Willie Stokes, an award-winning architect from Davis Stokes Collaborative Architects, P.C., was credited with the building's design. Stokes' firm is well-regarded for its creative design solutions, boasting a portfolio of over 900 professional buildings across the U.S. "Willie promised this would be his best work ever, and I am excited to work with him again," said Dr. Keller, reflecting on his longstanding collaboration with Stokes.

CONAR Building Group, also based in Brentwood, Tennessee, was awarded the construction project. It is anticipated that the first phase of the medical building will be completed by June 2025.

The Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions project represents a pivotal step in enhancing the quality of healthcare in Cypress, aiming to address the exponential growth in community demand for quality healthcare services.
