Go Skateboarding Day

Today is Go Skateboarding Day! In 2004, this observance was created by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) to promote events in major cities around the world to help make skateboarding more accessible.

Addicks Skatepark
Located at 3201 Highway 6, Houston, TX 77084, this skatepark is nestled inside the entrance to the Bill Archer Dog Park.
Sergeant J.R. Hatch Skate Park
Located at 17525 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094, this park features volleyball courts, basketball courts, a gazebo, picnic tables, and a skate park. It's the perfect venue for some outdoors sports!
Bridgeland Skate Park
For the residents of Bridgeland, this skate park is conveniently located within Lakeland Village Park at 17330 Creekside Crossing Dr, Cypress, TX 77433. Additional amenities at this park include a fenced dog park, basketball court, heated lap pool open year-round, canoe/kayak launch with boats available for use, fishing pier, spraypark, as well as multiple tennis courts, playgrounds, walking trails and playfields.
Vogel Creek Skate Spot
Totaling around 3,000 square feet, the skate spot features suspended artistic features, manual pads, rails, and ledges. It is located at 7415 Smiling Woods Ln, Houston, TX 77086.
Lakewood Crossing Park
Located at 11502 Cypresswood Dr, Houston, TX 77070, this park features playground equipment, a skate park, walking path surrounding the perimeter of the park, various fitness stations along the path, a pavilion, picnic tables and barbecue pits located within the park.
Are you open to taking a drive? Hop on the freeway and check out the North Houston Skate Park, one of the largest in the country and the second largest in the world! The North Houston Skate Park is located at 12351 Kuykendahl Rd, Houston, TX 77067.
The 78,000 SF park features a world-class, competition-scale Texas-shaped bowl with a full pipe, a 12-foot vertical ramp, a 10-foot-deep bowl, banked walls & speed hips – plus backyard-style pools & 3 flow bowls – beginner, intermediate, & advanced. A section designed to emulate the street-skating experience has ledges, rails, benches, banks, quarter pipes & stair obstacles, providing fun and creative challenges for skaters of all levels and interests. The park allow skateboards, rollerblades and quad skates only. Helmets are mandatory and admission is FREE.
