Girls’ Basketball Playoffs Continue for Four CFISD Teams in Area Round

The Cypress Creek, Cypress Lakes, Cypress Springs and Jersey Village high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round, while Cypress Falls and Langham Creek high schools concluded its seasons.

Cypress Creek defeated Houston Heights, 51-34. The Cougars advance to play Fort Bend Hightower at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Houston ISD’s Delmar Fieldhouse (2020 Mangum Road).

Cypress Lakes defeated Tomball, 44-40, earning the first postseason victory in program history. The Spartans advance to meet Spring Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Waller High School (31213 Waller Spring Creek Road).

Cypress Springs defeated Klein, 81-31. The Panthers advance to face Conroe Grand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Cypress Creek High School (9815 Grant Road).

Jersey Village defeated Houston Westside, 56-52. The Falcons advance to play Katy Seven Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Bridgeland High School (10707 Mason Road).

Tickets are $5 each for adults and students. Tickets for Cypress Creek, Cypress Lakes, Cypress Springs and Jersey Village will be sold online.

Cypress Falls was defeated by Klein Collins, 62-49. The Golden Eagles were District 16-6A’s fourth seed and finished the season as bi-district finalists.

Langham Creek was defeated by Klein Oak, 69-57. The Lobos were District 16-6A’s third seed and finished the season as bi-district finalists.
