GEORGETOWN I ANNUAL HOMEOWNERS MEETING
The annual homeowners meeting will be held on March 8, 2022 at Clay’s. Social distancing and masks will be encouraged. The event will take place outside in a deck. Please plan to attend and meet & greet your HOA Board of Directors, fellow neighbors and to learn more about where your HOA assessment fees are being applied and become engaged in your community. If you do not plan to attend, please submit your proxy to Chaparral Management or a local Board member so that the 25% quorum will be met to hold the annual homeowners meeting.
GC1 HOA ASSESSMENT FEES
Thank you to homeowners who have paid their Y2022 HOA assessments. HOA fees were due by January 31st. Delinquent homeowners are highly encouraged to setup an installment plan to avoid additional late fees and subsequent attorney collections action by contacting Beverly McCoy at Chaparral Management Company, phone: 281-463-1777. Your HOA is very aggressive with collections and the Board of Directors has effectively managed to keep HOA assessment fees to a low minimum rate while providing improvements to our community with your continued support and on-time payment of the annual HOA assessment fees.
CRPOA (COLONIES RECREATIONAL PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION) TOWN HALL MEETING
CRPOA plans to hold a Town Hall meeting at the MUD #102 building on March 22,2022, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will gather community input to be considered for disposition of the Colonies Neighborhood Center pool. Please plan to attend. Your opinion matters!!
HOA ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW CHAIRPERSON OPEN POSITION
We are still looking to fill the position for an Architectural Review Chairperson. Anyone interested please contact one of the Board members or Chapparal Mgmt company.
MARQUEE SIGN
Use of the community board is encouraged. Please forward requests to your HOA. We need volunteers to post informative and relevant messages to the neighborhood marquee sign on a regular basis.
MAILBOXES
If you didn’t know, we own the mailboxes. Your HOA has elected to insure the cluster boxes against accidental damages and vandalism to help keep your costs down.
DEED RESTRICTIONS
Please refer to our deed restrictions to avoid violations and fees. Here are a few to avoid: RV’s, trailers, commercial vehicles parked for an excessive amount of time in public view, growing agricultural, like corn in public view, parking vehicles on your lawn, etc... Deed restrictions will be enforced.

ARE YOU READY FOR COLD?
Prepared for a cold winter freeze? Stock up on gas, water and wood to keep warm. Don’t forget your pets. Provide adequate shelter for your outdoor pet. They matter too.
WE ARE A COMMUNITY THAT LOVE OUR PETS
The weather will be cooler and it will be the perfect weather to walk your fur babies. Keep your pets safe by ensuring your gates and fences are maintained and your pets are chipped or have an ID collar, just in case they get loose and can be returned safely. If you suspect animal abuse, neglect, hoarding, torture or dogfighting, please report it to the Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce at 927PAWS.org or 832-927-PAWS.
