George Memorial Library Presents Pictorial History of Fort Bend County

September 06 2022

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Genealogy and Local History Department will present a pictorial-history program of Fort Bend County on Wednesday, September 21, from 10:30 to 11:30 am, in the Computer Lab of George Memorial Library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.

In the program, “Photos of Our Past,” Carol Beauchamp will take a look back at the history of Fort Bend County by sharing photos from the Genealogy and Local History Department’s archives. Historical pictures from Rosenberg, Richmond, Sugar Land, and other area towns will be shown. Learn about various people, homes, businesses, and happenings from the county’s early days.

The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at Fort Bend County Libraries’ website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Classes & Events,” select “George Memorial,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling FBCL’s Genealogy and Local History Department at 281-341-2608, or by visiting the department at the library.
