Cross Creek West Expands Builder Lineup as Growth Continues in Fulshear

As development continues across one of Fort Bend County's fastest-growing areas, Cross Creek West is expanding the choices available to future homebuyers while simultaneously adding new amenities, parks and schools that are helping shape the community's next phase of growth.

The Fulshear master-planned community announced it is adding Coventry Homes and Ravenna Homes to its builder lineup, marking the first addition of new builders since home sales began in 2022. The move comes amid a period of significant activity within Cross Creek West, including the recent opening of a new model home park and the upcoming debut of four new neighborhood parks this summer.

Located along FM 359 north of downtown Fulshear, Cross Creek West is a 1,258-acre Johnson Development community that is planned for more than 3,000 homes at full buildout. The development sits adjacent to the now nearly completed Cross Creek Ranch community, one of the Houston area's most successful master-planned developments, which recently reached the sale of its final new homes after growing to approximately 6,180 homes and 18,500 residents.

More Housing Options Coming to Cross Creek West

According to the developer, Coventry Homes and Ravenna Homes are expected to begin pre-sales in the third quarter of 2026.

Coventry Homes will offer eight floor plans designed for 50-foot homesites, ranging from approximately 2,000 to 2,800 square feet and priced from the $450,000s.

Ravenna Homes will build on larger 60-foot homesites, offering 14 floor plans with pricing beginning in the low $600,000s.

Both builders are expected to open model homes before the end of the year.

"As our community grows, it's important to have a wider mix of builders and floor plans to accommodate the different needs of buyers," said Stephen Brovarone, General Manager of Cross Creek West. "Both Coventry Homes and Ravenna Homes are known for their innovative floor plans and quality construction. They are a perfect complement to our current mix of builders."

The additions join an existing builder lineup that includes Highland Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Village Builders and Westin Homes. Current home prices in the community begin in the $390,000s.

Parks, Recreation and Community Amenities Expanding This Summer

The builder announcement arrives as Cross Creek West continues expanding its amenity offerings, a key feature that has helped attract buyers to master-planned communities throughout the Houston region.

Four new parks are scheduled to open this summer:

  • Silly Goose Park: Designed with younger children in mind, the park will include swings, slides, climbing structures, musical play features and shaded seating areas for families.
  • Sunset Park: Spanning nearly an acre, Sunset Park will feature pickleball courts enclosed with sound-reducing plexiglass, a large playground and picnic areas illuminated with string lighting.
  • Zoomies Dog Park: The approximately 8,000-square-foot dog park will include separate play areas for small and large dogs, providing dedicated space for off-leash recreation.
  • The Links: Golf enthusiasts will have access to a 3,000-square-foot putting green featuring seven holes designed for short-game practice.

These additions will complement The Waterhole, the community's existing amenity center that includes a resort-style pool, fitness center, playground, tennis courts and pickleball courts.

Residents also maintain access to many recreational amenities within neighboring Cross Creek Ranch.

Schools Continue to Shape the Community's Growth

For many families considering a move to Fulshear, education remains a major factor in homebuying decisions.

Cross Creek West has already seen the opening of Haygood Elementary School, a Lamar Consolidated Independent School District campus that welcomed students in August 2025. The school's location within the community allows some students to walk or bike to class.

The community has also set aside approximately 100 acres for additional educational facilities. Debbie Urbanski Junior High School and Troy Williams High School are currently planned to open onsite in 2027.

By planning schools within the community itself, Cross Creek West is aiming to make everyday life a little easier for families, with homes, parks and classrooms all located within close reach of one another.

A Growing Community with Long-Term Plans

Cross Creek West's master plan extends beyond housing and recreation. The development includes extensive greenbelts, waterways, trail connections and acreage designated for future commercial development intended to bring services and conveniences closer to residents.

Development activity has accelerated in recent years. According to information previously shared by community leadership, approximately 840 homes had been sold by spring 2026, with additional homes under construction and demand increasing as amenities and infrastructure continue to come online.

Community leaders have emphasized creating a neighborhood environment that encourages walkability and interaction among residents through connected trails, parks and gathering spaces.

As Cross Creek Ranch reaches its final chapter after nearly two decades of development, Cross Creek West is increasingly emerging as a major residential destination in the Fulshear area. The addition of new builders, expanded recreation opportunities and future school campuses reflects continued investment in a community that has already established strong momentum and is playing an increasingly important role in Fort Bend County's ongoing growth.

What Happens Next

Prospective buyers interested in Coventry Homes and Ravenna Homes can expect pre-sales to begin during the third quarter of 2026, with model homes anticipated before year's end.

Meanwhile, residents can look forward to the opening of four new parks this summer and additional school campuses planned for 2027, continuing a steady rollout of amenities designed to support the community's long-term growth.

For residents across Fulshear and western Fort Bend County, the ongoing expansion of Cross Creek West offers a glimpse into how one of the region's newest master-planned communities is evolving as development continues west of Houston.
