Freeman High School’s 2025 Strength & Conditioning Camp Empowers Young Athletes to Train Hard and Build Confidence This Summer

June 19 2025

This summer, Anniston student-athletes have the opportunity to level up their game both on and off the field through the 2025 Strength & Conditioning Camp at Freeman High School. Open to all athletes zoned to Freeman—including those entering grades 7 through 11—the program is designed to boost athletic performance and instill foundational life skills like discipline, goal setting, and nutrition.

The summer camp still has three sessions remaining — June 23-26, July 7-10, and July 14-17 — making it an ideal training option for students looking to stay active and improve during the offseason. The cost is $125, and all payments must be made online through the official Katy ISD RevTrak registration site here. Parents and participants should note that there are no refunds for missed days.

Freeman High School’s coaching staff, including Athletic Coordinators Eric Robinson and Jill Voss, lead the camp with a holistic approach to athlete development. The program doesn’t just focus on physical strength—it incorporates training in speed, agility, power, and endurance. Students also participate in workshops and sessions covering visualization, goal setting, and proper nutrition.

Athletes are grouped by sport type and grade level into the following sessions:

  • Session 1: High School Contact Sports (9th–11th Grade) – 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

  • Session 2: High School Non-Contact Sports (9th–11th Grade) – 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

  • Session 3: Junior High Sports (7th–8th Grade) – 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Every participant should arrive each day with a towel, water bottle, sneakers, and cleats if applicable. The goal is to give student-athletes not only the tools to succeed in their sports but also habits that will serve them in all areas of life.

To attend, each athlete must have an approved Katy ISD physical on file for the 2025–2026 school year and submit all required registration forms with parental consent prior to the first day of camp.

Anniston families with questions are encouraged to reach out directly to Coach Eric Robinson or Coach Jill Voss at johnerobinson@katyisd.org or jillnvoss@katyisd.org, or by calling 281-234-6641

Whether your student plays football, volleyball, track, or another sport, this strength and conditioning program is a prime opportunity to grow stronger, faster, and more focused—just in time for the upcoming school year.
