Free Tax Preparation at Cypress Assistance Ministries

Tax Season is here! On select days during the months of February, March and April, BakerRipley will provide free tax preparation services at Cypress Assistance Ministries for those who qualify.
Services will include tax return preparation, as well as ITIN applications and renewals. Families and individuals earning up to $58,000 per year are eligible and no appointments are necessary. Service dates are February 11 and 18, March 4 and 18, and April 1 and 15. On these dates, this free tax service will be available for eligible community members from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
This program is made possible through BakerRipley's Neighborhood Tax Centers. Their main site is located in Southwest Houston at the BakerRipley Gulfton Sharpstown Campus but during tax season, BakerRipley has over 12 locations in Harris County and surrounding areas. Since 2009, BakerRipley's tax centers have prepared over 450,000 tax returns, putting over $635 million back in the pockets of working families. According to BakerRipley, families save an average of $270 in tax preparation and predatory refund loans fees amounting to an estimated savings of about $7 million per year.
