Free Summer Meals Return to Cy-Fair ISD for 2025: Locations, Schedules, and How to Find a Site Near You
As the school year winds down, Cy-Fair ISD is once again stepping up to support local families with its 2025 Summer Meals Program, ensuring that no child in the community goes hungry during the summer break.
The district’s Nutrition Services Department will offer free breakfast and lunch to all children 18 years old and younger, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21, at a variety of elementary, middle, and high school campuses throughout the summer. No registration, application, or identification is required.
This initiative is part of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Summer Meals Program, which is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO). The program is designed to support students in low-income areas, especially during the months when school cafeterias are closed and food insecurity spikes.

Why Summer Meals Matter
In Texas, more than 1 in 5 children face food insecurity, meaning they don’t consistently have enough nutritious food to support healthy development. During the academic year, many rely on school meals for their daily nutrition. When school ends, summer hunger becomes a serious concern.
By offering clean, welcoming spaces and balanced meals, the Cy-Fair summer meal sites help bridge this nutritional gap. Children can expect:
-
A supervised, friendly environment
-
Nutritious meals at no cost
-
Easy access with no paperwork or ID required
