Blue Bell’s Lone Star Scoop Tour Bringing Free Ice Cream Stops to Cypress and Cy-Fair in Houston This Spring
As temperatures rise across the Houston area, Blue Bell Creameries is giving local families another reason to step outside this spring. The beloved Texas ice cream company has announced multiple Houston and Cypress-area stops as part of its 2026 Lone Star Scoop Tour, a statewide celebration featuring free hand-dipped ice cream, frozen snacks, and giveaways for communities that have supported the Brenham-based brand for more than a century.
For many Texans, Blue Bell is more than a dessert brand — it is part of family traditions, neighborhood gatherings, and summer memories. The Lone Star Scoop Tour taps directly into that hometown connection by bringing its signature Blue Bell-branded event truck and trailer into local grocery store parking lots across the region.
The tour arrives at a time when Blue Bell Creameries continues expanding both its product lineup and its reach across the country, while still leaning heavily into the community identity that helped make it one of the most recognizable Texas brands.

A Texas Tradition Continues to Grow
The Lone Star Scoop Tour comes during an especially active season for Blue Bell Creameries. The Texas-based company has spent much of early 2026 expanding its menu with new flavors and product categories designed to reach both longtime fans and newer consumers.
Among its newest releases is Brookie À La Mode Ice Cream, a limited-time flavor featuring brown sugar ice cream loaded with brownie chunks and chocolate chip cookie pieces. The company also recently introduced Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, a pint-sized limited edition flavor combining traditional vanilla with a honey-infused sweetness.
Blue Bell has also entered the growing high-protein dessert category with the launch of Blue Bell PRO, a new dairy dessert line offering up to 35 grams of protein per pint with no added sugar. The lineup includes Chocolate, Coffee, Salted Caramel, Strawberry, and Vanilla flavors.
While the company’s roots remain firmly planted in Texas, Blue Bell’s footprint is expanding well beyond the South. Earlier this year, the company officially entered the Cincinnati and Dayton markets in Ohio through a new distribution center in Lebanon, Ohio, bringing Blue Bell products, local hiring efforts, and sampling events into additional communities.
More Stops Expected Across Texas
Blue Bell says additional Lone Star Scoop Tour cities and dates will continue being added throughout the year, signaling that the 2026 tour is far from over.
For Houston-area residents, the upcoming stops offer something increasingly valuable in fast-growing suburban communities like Cypress and West Houston — a simple opportunity for neighbors, families, and longtime Texans to gather around a shared local tradition.
As summer approaches, Blue Bell’s familiar blue-and-white truck may end up becoming one of the season’s most anticipated neighborhood sightings.
