Free San Antonio FC Soccer Clinic Gives Young Players a Chance to Train With the Pros

July 10 2026

Young soccer players across San Antonio will have an opportunity to learn from the professionals when a free San Antonio FC Soccer Clinic comes to Mission County Park II on Wednesday, July 29.

The co-ed clinic is open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14 and will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Organized by Bexar County Parks & Recreation in collaboration with Spurs Sports Academy and San Antonio FC, the event is designed to make high-quality soccer instruction accessible to local families at no cost.

For parents searching for free youth sports activities in San Antonio, the clinic offers more than an evening of recreation. Participants will receive hands-on instruction from current San Antonio FC athletes while building confidence, teamwork and fundamental soccer skills in a supportive setting.

Young Athletes Will Practice Core Soccer Skills

During the 90-minute clinic, players will work on footwork, passing, dribbling, scoring and defense. The skills-based format is intended to serve young athletes with different experience levels, whether they already play on a team or are still learning the basics of the game.

Participants will also receive a free San Antonio FC clinic T-shirt and take part in an exclusive autograph session with San Antonio FC special guests.

The event gives young players a rare chance to interact directly with professional soccer athletes while seeing where continued practice, discipline and teamwork can lead.

A Free Opportunity for San Antonio Families

Youth sports programs can come with registration fees, equipment costs and travel expenses, making free community clinics especially valuable for families. With support from sponsor Community First Health Plans, there is no individual participation fee for the July 29 event.

The clinic also reflects a broader effort to bring professional sports organizations into local parks and neighborhoods. By hosting the program at Mission County Park II, organizers are creating an approachable setting where children can stay active, meet other players and learn from athletes they may have watched compete for San Antonio FC.

What Participants Should Bring

Young athletes should arrive wearing comfortable athletic clothing and shoes suitable for playing soccer. Organizers encourage participants to come ready to learn, move and have fun throughout the session.

The clinic begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Mission County Park II. Because space is limited, families are encouraged to complete registration as soon as possible through the Spurs Sports Academy online registration page.

For local children who dream of improving their game—or simply want to spend an evening playing soccer—the free San Antonio FC youth clinic offers a memorable chance to step onto the field, learn from professionals and be part of San Antonio’s growing soccer community.
