Four CFISD Graduates Earn Prestigious U.S. Service Academy Appointments
Four graduates from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD) have achieved what fewer than 11% of applicants nationwide accomplish each year: earning an appointment to a U.S. service academy. Representing Bridgeland, Cypress Creek, and Cypress Falls high schools, these students now join the ranks of the nation’s future military leaders, scholars, and public servants.
Bridgeland High School
Roshan Robinson II – U.S. Air Force Academy
Haasini Prabhakar – U.S. Military Academy at West Point
Bridgeland High School is celebrating a rare dual honor as two of its Class of 2025 students received appointments to separate U.S. service academies. Robinson will head to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, while Prabhakar will attend the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.
Bridgeland Principal Rich Dixon honored the students’ exceptional achievement, saying “We are incredibly proud of Roshan and Haasini for their appointments to the U.S. service academies. Both have exemplified what it means to be outstanding Bears—demonstrating exceptional character, leadership and dedication throughout their time with us.”

Earning an appointment to either institution is extraordinarily competitive. The Air Force Academy admits about 1,100 cadets annually from over 10,000 applicants, while West Point accepts roughly 1,200 from more than 12,000 hopefuls. These elite programs demand not just academic excellence but also congressional nominations, fitness assessments, and extensive leadership credentials.
Dixon added, “Their selection to serve at the highest levels of our nation’s military institutions is a testament to their potential and unwavering commitment to making a difference. We are confident they will continue to honor our community and country through their service. Thank you, Roshan and Haasini, for your courage, determination and devotion to serving others. We salute you and always, Win The Day!”

Cypress Creek High School
Dwayne Brocken – U.S. Military Academy at West Point
Cypress Creek High School graduate Dwayne Brocken also earned an appointment to West Point, joining one of the most selective groups of students in the country. With acceptance rates hovering around 10%, West Point demands a rare blend of academic strength, physical readiness, and moral character.
Appointees to West Point emerge from a multi-layered nomination and selection process, typically including endorsements from U.S. Senators, Representatives, or the Vice President, along with community service and demonstrated leadership potential.
Though a formal statement was not issued by Cypress Creek, Brocken’s appointment underscores the school’s commitment to developing well-rounded students who are prepared to serve and lead at the highest level.

Cypress Falls High School
Chase Ferrell – U.S. Air Force Academy
Cypress Falls High School senior Chase Ferrell was appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy, where fewer than 11% of applicants are accepted. Like his Bridgeland peer, Ferrell’s achievement reflects a long record of academic dedication, athletic discipline, and community engagement.
Cypress Falls Principal Kyle Parsons praised Ferrell’s achievement, sharing “Our campus is extremely proud of Chase for his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. His accomplishment is a testament to his hard work, dedication and selfless leadership both in the classroom and on the athletic field. Congratulations to Chase on this outstanding achievement and we are so thankful for his service.”

A Path to Service, Leadership, and National Impact
The road ahead for these four students includes not only a fully funded education—valued at over $400,000—but also a commission as officers in the U.S. military upon graduation. Each will serve a minimum of five years of active-duty service, often rising to become leaders in military strategy, aviation, engineering, and beyond.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, less than 1% of American youth serve in the military, and fewer still take the elite path through a service academy. These CFISD students now join that exceptional group, committed to defending the nation and leading with integrity.
