Fort Bend Junior Service League Marks 25 Years of Giving and Friendship, Opens Membership for 2025–2026
For 25 years, the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) has been a quiet force behind some of Fort Bend County’s most meaningful community work. It’s not just the millions of dollars raised or the hundreds of nonprofits supported—it’s the women behind it all, giving their time, energy, and heart to something bigger than themselves.
Now, as FBJSL celebrates its Silver Anniversary, the League is inviting a new class of women to join their ranks and help carry its mission forward.
A Milestone Built on Service and Sisterhood
Since its founding in 2001, FBJSL has donated more than $6 million to local nonprofits. Its reach touches nearly every corner of the community—from shelters and children’s programs to healthcare, education, and family services. The organization is perhaps best known for its Sugar Plum Market, an annual holiday shopping fundraiser that draws thousands and helps fuel the League’s charitable giving.
But FBJSL’s true strength isn’t just its fundraising—it’s in its members.
These are women who balance careers, families, and busy lives, yet still carve out time to serve. Some joined to meet new people. Others came looking for purpose. Many stayed because they found both.
“As we celebrate 25 years of impact, we are just as excited about the future as we are proud of our past,” said NaTasha Vaughn, FBJSL’s Director of New Members. “FBJSL is not just a place to volunteer. It is a place to grow, lead, and build lifelong friendships. There is a place for you here.”

Several events will be held over the summer to help potential members get a feel for the organization and meet current volunteers.
It’s a chance not only to explore how FBJSL supports Fort Bend County—but to discover how it might support you, too.
More Than Volunteering
What makes FBJSL unique isn’t just its impact—it’s the experience it creates for its members. The League offers women a place to lead, to grow personally and professionally, and to build connections that often extend well beyond their service years.
The atmosphere is welcoming. The friendships are genuine. And the work, while sometimes demanding, is deeply rewarding.
FBJSL’s purpose is rooted in education, charity, and community—but just as much in camaraderie and kindness. That combination is what’s carried it through 25 years of service—and what will sustain it for the next 25.
