Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Partners with Multiple Agencies to Host Annual Trunk or Treat

October 19 2023

On Friday, October 27, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office will team up with Fort Bend County Kids and Cops, plus several other agencies across the county to host their annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event. Open the the public and free of charge, this family-friendly Trunk or Treat will be held at the Gus George Academy, located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Cir, Richmond, TX 77469.

From 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the community is invited to bring the whole family to enjoy plenty of candy, decorated police cars, a thriller dance contest, glow-in-the-dark station, free pizza and drinks, and games like witches hat ring toss. Attendees are encouraged to don their Halloween costumes and participate in a costume contest. And of course, several emergency response vehicles will be on display at the event for attendees to explore.

Last year, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Halloween Trunk or Treat event was attended by 500 community members, and they are expecting this year's installment to have an even bigger turnout.

"For those seeking a safe and family-friendly alternative to door to door trick or treating, we want to invite you out to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Trunk or Treat," said Sheriff Eric Fagan. "The event will not only be a great time, but also a wonderful opportunity for community members to connect and engage with our deputies and other county agencies."

In addition to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office and Fort Bend County Kids and Cops, participating agencies at this year's event include the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office, Fort Bend County Attorney's Office, Fort Bend County Fire, Marshal's Office, Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation, Fort Bend County Behavioral Health, Access Health, and Fort Bend County Crisis Intervention Team, with more agencies lining up to join the effort.

Mark your calendars and make plans to attend!
