Fort Bend County Launches 2024 Youth Leadership Program to Shape Tomorrow's Leaders

April 15 2024

Fort Bend County has opened applications for its 2024 Youth Leadership Program, as part of an ongoing commitment to growing and developing its future leaders. The program, supported by Fort Bend County Judge KP George, is designed to nurture young talents, equipping them with essential skills needed in today's dynamic world.

The program targets high school students with a comprehensive curriculum focusing on leadership development, community service, and civic engagement. Participants will be engaged in various workshops and immersive activities, which will not only enhance their leadership skills but also promote critical thinking and expose them to different aspects of public service.

"This program is an investment in the future of Fort Bend County," County Judge KP George stated. "By empowering our youth to become effective leaders and active contributors to their communities, we are laying the foundation for a brighter and more inclusive future."

The 2024 Youth Leadership Program will include guest speakers, interactive sessions, and collaborative projects, encouraging participants to tackle real-world challenges and issues faced by the county. The program also sets the stage for students to network with local leaders, mentors, and organizations committed to youth empowerment and community development.

Applications are now open to all high school students living in Fort Bend County. Those who are interested in participating are encouraged to submit their application by May 30, 2024. Applications can be made here.
