Fort Bend County Hosts 'Moving Fort Bend Forward' Event to Strengthen Community Emergency Preparedness

January 29 2025

As extreme weather events and natural disasters continue to grow in frequency and intensity, communities nationwide are placing increased focus on preparedness. Fort Bend County is responding to this urgent need by hosting the Moving Fort Bend Forward event on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, located at 307 Fort St., Richmond, TX 77469.

The event will bring together key public safety agencies, including the Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management, Fire Marshal's Department, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and the Sheriff's Office, to engage with residents about disaster readiness, emergency response, and public safety efforts. As the region faces more frequent storms, floods, and other emergencies, this event aims to empower the community with knowledge and practical strategies to safeguard their homes and families.
