Fireflies & Foodtrucks Returns to No Label Brewing Co. in Support of Katy ISD Teachers
On November 7, 2024, the Fireflies & Foodtrucks event returns to No Label Brewing Co. in Katy - an annual bash designed to benefit local Katy ISD teachers. This event is hosted by the Katy ISD Education Foundation, a community-centered organization making significant contributions to local schools.
In 2024, the foundation made a significant impact by donating a record-setting $455,000 to support 421 teachers across 54 campuses. The ripple effect of their investment has been broad, positively affecting 63,731 students. Over the course of 12 years, the foundation has granted $3.5 million, touching the educational journey of 515,000 by sponsoring 880 teacher grants.

The heart of the Katy ISD Education Foundation is awarding Inspiring Imagination teacher grants. These funds support innovative classroom programs that bring cutting-edge instructional materials to Katy ISD classrooms. From science equipment to musical instruments, and from emergency room simulation crash carts to virtual reality goggles for historical immersion, these grants help realize sustainable and visionary educational projects.
The Fireflies & Foodtruck event is a festive affair that brings the community together in support of these fantastic initiatives. Include in the cost of admission, attendees can enjoy food from a range of food trucks, including Southern Vacation Catering, Skye Cafe, Rich Boy Po Boy, Mingo's Latin Kitchen, Katy Sliders, Kajun Asian on Wheels, and the Great Harvest Bread Co. Additionally, lively entertainment will be provided by The Pictures Band, an award-winning Austin variety band that expertly combines a family legacy of musical talent with high-energy options like an interactive horn section and themed stage designs.

General admission tickets are priced at $70 per person, while for $95 attendees also gain access to an exclusive VIP Bar featuring a selection of No Label brews - a treat for the beer aficionado.
