Firecracker Golf Tournament in Kyle to Support Maxwell Fire Dept Scholarship and Fallen Firefighters Foundation

March 13 2026

A spring golf tournament in Kyle is bringing together firefighters, residents, and businesses for a day of friendly competition that supports both local students and families of fallen firefighters.

The Firecracker Golf Tournament, hosted by Maxwell Fire Department ESD2, will take place Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle, Texas. The event features a 4-man scramble format, with proceeds benefiting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Maxwell Fire Department scholarship program for students in the community.

For residents across Maxwell, Kyle, Lockhart, and surrounding Central Texas communities, the event is more than a golf outing. It’s a fundraiser designed to honor firefighter service while helping local students pursue their education.

Community Fundraiser Connects Firefighters, Students, and Local Businesses

The annual tournament reflects the strong ties between the Maxwell Fire Department ESD2 and the community it serves. Funds raised during the event support scholarships awarded to students in the Maxwell area, while also contributing to the mission of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which provides support to families of firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Local businesses and organizations are playing a key role as sponsors and supporters, helping ensure the event continues to grow while strengthening regional partnerships across Hays County and Caldwell County.
