Fall Registration Now Open for Healthy Kids Running Series in Cypress
Get set, parents and kids, as the fall registration for the Healthy Kids Running Series (HKRS) is now open. Tailored for children from Pre-K through 8th grade, this dynamic five-week program takes place in the spring and fall, encouraging healthy, active lifestyles at an early age.
With age-appropriate running events from 50 & 75 yard dashes to 1 mile runs, HKRS offers kids a chance to earn points for each race based on their finishes. With the aim of making fitness fun and inclusive, the Series also features a Challenger Division—an adaptive 75-yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs.
The meets for this adrenaline-pumping Series take place at the D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA at Cypress Creek, located at 19915 TX-249, Houston, TX 77070. Registration for the entire Series covers five weeks of exciting race meets and comes with race bibs, a runner shirt, a finisher medal, and sponsor giveaways. For those wanting to test the waters first, single day race registration is an option, which includes a race bib, a runner shirt while supplies last, and an upgrade to the full series upon request.
