Exploring Houston: Senior Bus Trips with Harris County Precinct 4 Offer Adventure and Connection
Harris County Precinct 4 is making it easier than ever for local seniors to explore Houston and beyond with its Senior Bus Trip program. Designed for residents ages 50 and older, these organized day trips provide an opportunity to engage in educational and recreational activities while fostering social connections.
A Program Designed for Senior Enrichment
Commissioner Lesley Briones and Precinct 4 have structured the program to serve a variety of senior community groups, including church groups, civic associations, gardening clubs, and service organizations. By offering free transportation to engaging destinations, the initiative encourages active lifestyles and lifelong learning among older adults.
Participating groups must register by completing a Trip Coordinator and Group Contact Form and following a reservation process, which are available on the Harris County Precinct 4 website. Buses, ranging from 14 to 40-passenger capacity, are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with eligibility requirements ensuring trips cater to seniors and their companions.
