Explore the Art of Zentangle at Cinco Ranch Branch Library
Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library is set to host a hands-on workshop focusing on the interesting and unique art form, Zentangle. The workshop titled, “Doodle Art Using Zentangle,” will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 4:00 pm in the library's Conference Classroom.
Zentangle, a creative outlet that's gaining popularity, nurtures a relaxing yet fun environment for crafting beautiful images. This particular workshop will feature a step-by-step demonstration from the library's staff, showcasing how to use pencil and pen to produce abstract black-and-white art.
This art form is characterized by the use of intricate patterns or 'tangles' to fill a specific space with a careful and mindful approach. Zentangle incorporates artistic elements such as depth, texture, and shading, with a balance of values from light to dark tones. The finished output neither depicts recognizable objects nor has a definitive 'right side up.'
